Description

Kuznetsov Porcelain Plate “Leib-Gvardii Moskovsky Regiment”.

A decorative Russian porcelain plate by the T. V. Kuznetsov manufactory, decorated with military and Imperial Russian motifs. The central reserve shows a composition with the double-headed eagle, St George slaying the dragon, crossed blue standards and military ribbons.

The red Cyrillic inscription reads “Лейб-гвардии Московский полк”, referring to the Leib-Gvardii Moskovsky Regiment. The lower part of the design includes a cross motif, set within laurel branches and striped military ribbons.

The border is richly decorated with a green band, gilt floral ornament and classical gilt meander bands. The reverse bears a green Kuznetsov factory mark with the Imperial double-headed eagle and Cyrillic inscription “Т. В. Кузнецов”.
