A decorative 19th-century Bohemian amethyst glass vase of flared faceted form, with a scalloped rim and rounded base.

The vase is made in rich purple amethyst glass and decorated with cut clear panels and oval reserves, highlighted with gilt ornament. The contrast between the deep coloured glass, clear cut areas and gold decoration gives the piece a refined and striking appearance.
