Rare WWII Korean sonin sword during the Japanese Occupation. These swords were authorised for officials of the colonial government of Korea (Chosen), 1911-1945. Scabbard – polished shark skin over wood with gold plated brass scabbard fittings. Scabbard fittings have fleur-de-lis shaped cut-outs in the upper and tip fittings and fleur-de-lis shaped projections on the center fitting. Blade and hilt can be polished and cleaned.
