Impressive presentation Heer officer’s parade sabre to Leutnant Graf von Elz. It was presented by Freiherr von Kressenstein. Excellent parade sabre manufactured by Hörster. Aluminum handle with lion’s head feature red glass eyes. Intact wire to the bakelite grip. Attached portepee. Excellent factory painted scabbard without any dents showing nearly 100% color. Outstanding “damascus” blade with etched dedication “Fhr. v. Kressenstein s./l. Leutn Gr.v. Eltz,” to one side and “Ehrenpreis der 10. Kompanie für gute Schießleistungen Schießjahr 1934/35.” Gilt embossed letters and bows. Blue backing. Presented as a honor price of the “10. Kompanie” for good shooting achievements in the year “1934/1935 as well as to commemorate Kressenstein’s and Elz’s service time from 1923 until 1935: “1923 / 1935”. Etched initials von Graf von Elz “RE”. HÖRSTER maker marked.
