Le Courage Militaire” Bronze Sculpture by Paul Dubois

The allegorical statue representing “Military courage” is one of the four statues at each corner of the cenotaph to General de La Moricière in Nantes cathedral. A good example of Dubois’ “neo-florentine” style.

Paul Dubois (1829 – 1905) was a French sculptor and painter from Nogent-sur-Seine, France. In 1865 and 1876, he was awarded a médaille d’honneur at the Salon des beaux-arts.
